ABSTRACT: The role of early childhood education in promoting Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) is pivotal for creating a foundation for sustainable development. This study aimed to explore how early childhood education programs contribute to the promotion of SDGs among young children. The objectives were to (1) assess children's understanding of sustainability concepts, (2) evaluate the integration of SDG-related activities in curricula, and (3) examine the impact on children's attitudes and behaviors towards sustainability. A survey design was employed to gather comprehensive data from participants. A purposive sample of 140 children aged 4-6 years, exposed to SDG-focused education, was selected from an early childhood education center in Cross River State. Findings indicated significant improvements in children's understanding of sustainability concepts, effective integration of SDG-related activities in curricula, and positive changes in attitudes and behaviors towards sustainability. Recommendations included incorporating SDG themes into early childhood curricula and training educators to promote sustainability through interactive and engaging activities.
